Take an Aussie summer road trip … by small ship

A four-state summer ‘roadtrip by sea’, exploring some of the most beautiful coastal destinations across southern Australia is on the cards for next year, following the release of an ultra-luxurious ‘seatrip’ package by Seabourn.

The Australian summer 2024 ‘roadtrip’ by luxury small ship will take pampered guests on a relaxing journey through Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and News South Wales.

The 17-night stay and cruise package in February, 2024, has been launched by Australian small ship cruise specialist, Cruise Traveller, with savings of A$1795 per person and a free tour of the Blue Mountains for bookings made by February 28, this year

Cruise Traveller’s ‘Bound for South Australia’ package holiday begins on February 4, 2024, with a two-night stay in a five-star Sydney hotel, including a complimentary day tour to the Blue Mountains. Guests then board the ultra-luxe, boutique ship, Seabourn Odyssey, for a 15-day return voyage from Sydney to 10 destinations across southern Australia – almost like a road trip by sea but more relaxing and luxurious with no need to constantly pack and unpack.

The elegant, 450-guest Seabourn Odyssey boasts an intimate, yacht-like ambience, two pools, six jacuzzis, four fine-dining restaurants, club-like showroom, lounges and bars, wellness centre, water sports marina with direct water access, and personalised service, with almost one staff member per guest. All staterooms are plush suites with Molton Brown toiletries and ocean views.

Destinations include the seafood town of Batemans Bay and the coastal hamlet of Eden in NSW, historic Port Arthur and Hobart in Tasmania, the Victorian ports of Melbourne, Portland and wildlife-rich Philip Island and pristine Kangaroo Island, the seal mecca of Port Lincoln and the world-renowned wine regions close to Adelaide. The voyage ends in Sydney where guests make their way home.
